EXCEL PLUG-IN (Windows): Why doesn't the excel add-in appear on my toolbar? [16743]

The add-in will (99% of the times) be automatically installed when you run the setup wizard of Addition4Palm. This wizard is available in the file downloaded with the 'Synchronization[Windows only]' option.
Sometimes the add-in isn't visible because it is hidden or because it didn't load the image of the button. You can see if it is installed by right clicking on the Excel menu area. You will see a list of toolbars and if the add-in is installed there will be a toolbar named Addition4Palm. If it is visible there will be a mark in front of the toolbar's name, if not, left click on it.
If you still don't see the add-in that's because the image didn't load correctly. You should at least see an empty toolbar. Try click on it to have the add-in shown up. Nevertheless report this behaviour to us, as it is not the intended one.
If you don't see any toolbar you should try doing these operations:

1. Close Excel and try unistall & install Addition4Palm again, sometimes it failed registering a .dll file that is connected to the add-in.
2. If it fails let's try it manually. So follow these steps:
i) Search file named 'Addi4P.xla'(installation directory - C:\Program Files\Addition4Palm) and copy it to a Microsoft directory named 'XLStart' (you'll have to find this directory and it might have a different name on non-english versions of Excel. Be careful as you might have two directories with this name. If you do, check if you already have 'Addi4P.xla' in one of them and overwrite it).
ii) The instaide.dll and addiconv.dll should be copied to the directory where your excel.exe resides (probably C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office...).
iii) copy file 'AddiFrm.dll'' to your windows directory (something like C:\WINDOWS). Open the Dos window. Go to Windows directory and enter command:
C:\WINDOWS\regsvr32 Addifrm.dll
A successsful registration message should pop up.
Open Excel and check for the add-in.
3. If it still doesn't work please let us know and send us the file 'errorLog.txt' wich is in the addition4Palm installation directory.
